Whether you're taking on the 50K ultra or the Half Marathon, this race is your gateway to some of North Carolina's most stunning terrain—massive boulders, sweeping vistas, towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and trails that will push your limits and reward your spirit.
We’re thrilled to host this race in the park that inspired our love of the mountains. HAROC is more than just a race—it's a journey through the landscapes that shaped Tanawha Adventures and a chance for runners to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of this mountain oasis in the Piedmont.

Course Description
The courses is mix of smooth singletrack and extremely technical singletrack. Small boulders and rocks are strewn throughout the trail, which will keep you focused and on your toes. Each course will pass waterfalls, massive boulders, cliff sides, a fire tower, and exhilarating vistas. The 50k course has roughly 5,000 ft of gain/loss and the half course has about 2,500 ft of gain/loss.
Each course will have aid stations located approximately every 6-7.5 miles along the course. Aid stations will have at a minimum: Water and Skratch Labs electrolyte drink. Minimum foods include: bananas, orange slices, potato chips, pretzels, PB&J, pickles, Snickers, & M&Ms. Most aid stations will have a variety of other hot and cold solid foods that will vary by aid station.
