7 Sisters 25k
ABOUT
The Seven Sisters 25k is a monstrous mountain of a run around the East and West ridges of the Montreat Wilderness! This route is a Western North Carolina classic! Although short in distance, this route will leave you in awe at its beauty and its difficulty.
The route passes over multiple peaks and overlooks including; Lookout Rocks, Rocky Head, Graybeard, Rattlesnake Rocks, and of course the Seven Sisters themselves along the treacherous West Ridge Trail. Come prepared to run this beast!

The Numbers
Distance: ~14.5 Miles
Elevation Gain: ~ 4,000 feet
Time Limit: 5.5 hours
Miles of Single Track Trail: ~ 13.5 miles
Miles of Pavement: ~ 1 mile
Course Description
From the start you will run approximately a half mile of pavement to thin out runners before hitting the singletrack of the Montreat Wilderness Trail system. The first mile or so of trail will be mellow, but after that the climbing and extremely technical terrain begins when you hit Lookout Trail. Trails become steep both up and down with many roots and rocks throughout the trail.
Aid Stations
Aid 1: 4 miles - 10:30 am cutoff
Aid 2: 8 miles - 12:05 pm cutoff
Aid stations will have at a minimum: Water and Gatorade. Foods include: bananas, potato chips, pretzels, and M&Ms.

Extra Information
Packet Pick Up
Pre-Packet pickup will be held at Mountain Running Company in downtown Black Mountain from 3pm-6pm on Friday, April 14th.
Please pick up your packet early, however, we will have race day pickup from 7:30-8:50am race morning
Need to Know
-Weather conditions can change drastically on the mountain. If race needs to be canceled due to extreme weather, the race will be rescheduled. No refunds will be given if you cannot attend the rescheduled date.
-You must carry required gear. This includes a rain shell, at least a 20oz water carrying device, a whistle, cell phone, and an emergency blanket.
-No parking at the start, you'll be parking at designated sites close by.
-The start/finish area is a third of a mile walk from parking and your car.
-This is a cupless race!

Stay on marked trails, DO NOT CUT SWITCHBACKS!
Must carry required gear at all times.
Use proper trail etiquette when passing other runners
Be courteous to other trails users
No littering
Obey any race official's request
